Why Education & Training Pillar is Needed in TPM ?

First thing is Training is an unnecessary expenditure.
Training required manhour, so its decrease your plants productivity.
If these are the losses related to Training , then why it required ?

Friends, this is extreme requirement in TPM. I also want to tell you that it requires in all other seven TPM Pillars. Now i am going to explain the same below...

In JH-Jishu Hozen pillar, It require for educate the operator about machine, its abnormalities, construction, machine operation, how to handle the machine.
In KK -Kobetsu kaizen pillar, It require for Understanding the Losses related to manufacturing department & how to eliminate & reduce them.
In QM -Quality Maintenance Pillar, It requires for understanding the product quality & how to make machine suitable for quality product, it also gives details to operator about quality products.
In PM -Planned Maintenance Pillar, It gives the knowledge about the machine & its spares. Maintenance supervisor without skill of maintenance can not maintain machine in its optimal condition.

Like this, in all pillars Education & Training Pillar is necesaary for Successful TPM Implementation.

For upgrading the skill level of the operator / supervisor , you have to make skill matrix depending on the following levels-
Level 1: I donot Know.
Level 2: I know but I cannot do.
Level 3: I can do, But i can not teach.
Level 4: I can do, i can teach.

Prepare skill matrix.....
